This pair of 40-centavo stamps issued by Mexico in 1973 celebrates two major national milestones.
The first stamp portrays Francisco I. Madero (1873โ1913), leader of the Mexican Revolution and President of Mexico, with artwork adapted from Diego Rivera, honoring his centenary.
The second commemorates the 150th Anniversary of the Heroic Military College (Colegio Militar, founded 1823), featuring a cadet in full dress uniform, designed by A. Rojas.
Both issues were printed by T.I.E.V. (Talleres de Impresiรณn de Estampillas y Valores) and mark Mexicoโs blend of political heritage and military tradition.
