The mouthpiece is stamped has a low port.
The fixed cheeks are curved, each bears a curb rein loop, there is a curved shackle bar.
There is a round brass cheek badge or boss on each side of the bit.
In the centre of each cheek badge there is a monogram E VII R for King Edward VII, this dates the bit between 1901 and 1911.
Surrounding the monogram there is a garter or border which reads " Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense".
The crown at the top of each badge is the Tudor crown.
The bit has its original curb hooks and chain.
There are no maker's marks or stamps on the bit
