About this piece

In ancient Egypt, cunning hunters devised a clever plan to defeat the fearsome dragons. They lured the beasts onto a magical cloth inscribed with a powerful spell. As soon as the dragons stepped onto the cloth, they fell into a deep slumber, making it easy for the hunters to behead them. In the background on the left, one of the dragons can be seen attacking an elephant. This print includes a Latin inscription and is part of a series depicting various hunting scenes.
